Learning to hold your Pendulum
It's been said a picture is worth a thousand words and this picture will show you the correct way to hold your dowsing pendulum better than I could ever do with words.
When you get ready to ask a question, there are two basic ways you can hold your arm. Most people prefer to rest their elbow on a table while others prefer to hold their arm away from the body. Try both ways before you make a decision on which is the right way for your personally. It is a personal choice, which ever you feel the most comfortable with. There is not a 100% right or wrong way.
Notice in the picture above, the pendulum is held in a relaxed hand. This is key to getting a good reading. Never let tension come into your hand or arm. Tension blocks the flow of signals to the brain and can prevent you from getting a correct answer.
Without tensing up, try to hold your hand and arm as still as possible, with the pendulum hanging freely below your hand. The pendulums movement is caused by the tiny, small muscle movements in your hand and arm and it will happen all by itself when you are sufficiently relaxed. There is no need to start the pendulum swinging. Just allow it to start moving on its own and you will be fine.
