Psychic Ability Development Course: Awareness
Development of psychic awareness is important enough that you should work on it on a regular basis, even after you believe your psychic senses to be fully developed.
Information comes to our psychic senses in many different ways and if you are not aware of your surroundings and your own body, it is easy to overlook important pieces of information.
Think for a moment about the actual process that goes on when psychic abilities are activated.
Remember from previous lessons that everything in the universe is composed of energy and energy moves in waves. Our bodies are not sensitive enough to sense all of the energy we are constantly being bombarded with and I for one am glad of that or else we would stay stressed out to the point of being unable to help anyone.
We can train our bodies to be more sensitive to certain types of energies. We want the energies that are informational in scope to come through while keeping out all the energies that don't have an instant affect on our subject and that is what this psychic exercise is about.
We increase our body's sensitivity to energy in the exact same way we manipulate energy, via our minds. The entire process is actually very calming and pleasant so don't worry about it being hard to do.

Prep Work for all exercises
Find a time when you can have at least 10 minutes without interruption. Put the kids to bed and the dog out the door, turn off the phone and take a few deep breaths to calm yourself.
Do your favorite relaxation method. You want you mind and body to be at peace, as free of stress as possible before you start.

Psychic Awareness Exercise #1: Smell
This first lesson in this series of psychic exercises involves looking at the flower in the above photo. Imagine the flower is framed in a window and you are looking through that window at the flower. Open the window and step through it so you can get a better look at the flower.
As you approach it, notice the texture of the petals and leaves. Let your awareness close in on every tiny aspect of the flower, but don't stop with just your eyes.
Let your awareness flow into your hands, then reach out and touch the flower. Feel the silky smoothness of the petals and the slightly rougher texture of the leaves.
Did to catch that scent? Breathe deeply and inhale the wondrous scent of the flowers.
How does the sun feel against your skin? Does the air temperature leave you with chill bumps or is it nice and warm, soothing to your mind, body and soul.
Spend some time walking among the flowers. Let your mind experience the scene to the fullest. Allow your awareness touch, feel and experience everything around you to the fullest.
Your goal is to literally feel the flowers, literally smell their scent. Experience the scene as if you were a part of it and you totally forget you are looking at a photo.
Continue the psychic exercise for as long as you like and when you are ready, slowly pull your awareness out of the photo and back into the room you are in. If you have accomplished your goal, you will still be able to smell the flowers and your skin will still feel the temperature of the scene.

Psychic Awareness Exercise #2: Taste
After you have completed the prep work above look at the glass of vegetables above. But don't just look at it as if you are looking at a photo, be in the room with the glass. Sit at the table with it and feel the surface of the table under your hands as they lay on the table.
Can you feel the pressure of the chair as you sit on it. Now reach out and touch the glass the vegetables are in. Is it cool to the touch or are the vegetables warm enough to have warmed the glass?
When you have your psychic awareness settle firmly into your surroundings so the table, the glass and the vegetables all look, feel and smell real, reach out, pick up one of the veggies and pop it into your mouth.
Do you taste the veggie? Did someone add salt or pepper to it, or is it just the good for you taste of a veggie at its peak of perfection.
Slowly chew it and when you are ready, swallow it. Go ahead and have a few more vegetables. Eat just a few or the whole glass if you like, it is 100% up to you. Just make sure you have all of you senses involved it the exercise.
You want everything to be as real as possible. When you are ready, pull your awareness back into the room you are in. If you have done everything correctly, you will still taste the vegetables in your mouth.
The above psychic exercise is designed to help you advance your sense of taste. This can allow you to, with practice, literally taste thoughts, ideas and images that may come to you.

Psychic Awareness Exercise #3: Movement
After you have completed the prep work above look at the boats at dock. Bring your psychic awareness into the photo so you are no longer in the room you are in, but you are there, seeing all the sights and sounds at the dock.
See the magnificent colors of the boats and sky. Feel the ocean breeze blowing on your skin. Hear the birds as they call out from the clear blue sky above you.
Pick out a boat you want to go on. Walk down the wooden dock next to the boat. Feel the dock sway slightly with each step you take. Stop for a moment and feel the movement of the dock as the water laps against it each time a wave makes it way in.
When you are ready, step onto the boat you picked out. Feel the boat rock slightly from your weight as your step on board. Is someone else moving around on the boat? Do you feel the movement of the boat as they cause the boat to rock?
Can you tell if the person is heavier or lighter than you? Use your psychic awareness to compare the boats movement when they walk to how it moves when you walk and you will have your answer.
Find yourself a deck chair and sit back in it. Relax and close your eyes, then let your senses reach out and explore the world around you. See, feel, hear, touch and taste the world. Allow the gentle rocking of the boat to relax and calm your nerves.
When you are ready, slowly bring your awareness back into the room around you. If you have done this exercise correctly, you will bring back some of the smells, sounds and tastes of the world in the photo.

Psychic Awareness Exercise #4: Free form
After you have completed the prep work above, see yourself standing on a high mountain top. As you look around you, it appears you are surround by clouds. Your senses are filled with fluffy white clouds floating in a clear blue sky.
Hold out your arms and allow all your psychic sense to drink in your surroundings. Let the rest of the world cease to exist as you hang there floating in a sea of clouds.
When all of your sense are fully involved, notice that you can move among the clouds. With just a tought you can soar upwards or glide down to earth. The choice is yours. You can go any where in the world or in the universe that you want to go to.
As you make your journey, takes time to stop and allow all of your senses to be used. Smell all the smells on your travels. Feel all the textures of plants, animals and fabrics as you go. Taste the foods of the locals and close your eyes and see the fine details of everything.
Spend as much time as you like, exploring the worlds you visit. Interact with the people and partake of the delights these far off places have to offer your senses.
When you are ready, slowly bring your awareness back into the room around you. If you have done this exercise correctly, you will bring back some of the smells, sounds and tastes of the worlds your visited on your journey.

Hints and tips
It is best to do these psychic exercises in order as they are listed on this page. Their purpose is to awaken your senses to the world around you. Making you a better receiver of the fine energies we read with out psychic awareness.
If you start to feel very tired while doing any of these exercises, chances are you are trying to force things into happening instead of just allowing them to happen. You should expend almost no energy while completing these exercises. In fact, when you return from one of them you should feel exhilarated and refreshed, never tired.
It is entirely possible that you will fall asleep while completing one of the exercises. If you are prone to falling asleep during meditation it is more apt to happen, so prepare in advance for the possibility. Only you know what you personally need to do in this situation. Some may sit in a chair so they will wake up before falling. Others prefer to be laying down. It is a personal decision only you can make.
After you have completed the psychic exercises a few times, chances are exceptionally good you will see an increase in "knowing" about people, places and things. This is good and is exactly what you want to have happen because you are tuning into the fine energies.
Very rarely, a person will feel discomfort while performing one of the exercises. Should this happen we urge you to stop the exercise and examine what was causing the pain. It is highly possible one of the exercises has triggered an event from your past that causes you some emotional pain. If the pain happens repeatedly while attempting this exercise, we urge you to talk to your doctor. There could be something physically wrong or there could be a psychological blockages that needs profession help to release it. Should you decide to continue the exercise, note that you do so at your own risk and we can not be responsible for the outcome.
